Alternative Fuel Sources: Ethanol

May 9th, 2008 by admin

When we think of alternative fuel sources, several things come to mind.  The first thing I think of is ‘hybrid cars’.  The recent crisis pertaining to the gas in the United States has caused many concern over how they will be able to pay for their gas in the future.  After all, I drive a Jeep and just the other week it cost me 67 bucks (almost $70!) to fill up my tank, which wasn’t even totally empty.  However, despite everyone’s moans and groans, everything happens for a reason.  The best thing that could have ever happened to the United States was this gas crisis.  Why is that, you might ask? Simple.  It is forcing people to figure out other, less wasteful, more resourceful ways of getting around that don’t waste so much energy.  And to top that, these resourceful things are a lot less polluting than our past and current methods of finding transportation.  For instance, we are discovering other methods of getting around such as carpooling, mass transportation and hybrid vehicles!
