Using email marketing as part of your small business marketing plan is risky. You’re never sure whether your emails will be read or deleted before they’re even opened. Do you know there are a few ways to increase the odds that your email messages will not be deleted along with the dozens of pieces of junk your recipient has to sort through?
Motivate your prospect to read your message by making it irresistible. Your subject line should be very compelling. The way to create a compelling subject line is to hone in on your recipients’ problems. Make sure to remind them that you have their email address because they signed up for something. For example, if they opted in for a report on your website, say something in your subject line like, “How to download your — guide”. If you include your company name in the subject line, as well as that information the odds are good that your message will be opened.
