We recently started our own home based business and while we were very excited, the journey has been a struggle. First, finding home based businesses that work is not an easy feat. However, after jumping that hurdle we began to realize that there are a number of obstacles that may prevent one from attaining success. We greatly underestimated the number of hours that would be required to get the business up and running in addition to maintaining its progress. Another interesting fact that we had no idea would raise its ugly head is that when you are at home it is easy to become preoccupied by other items that need to be addressed. The chores at home became an issue, forcing us to set aside certain hours of the day that were dedicated to work while the remainder could be used to maintain our home.
