Signs of depression: Ignore Venus and Mars

Remember the Men/Mars Women/Venus days? Well, as it turns out, the role of Mars and Venus in the field of mental health seems to be even bigger then we all thought. Every six or even seven of every ten victims of depression is female. And to complicate things even more, research indicates that the symptoms of depression are different for men and women too.
It’s not known exactly why women run a greater risk for depression than men. Some obvious factors play a role, but for the sake of simplicity, let’s not get into that right now right here. Let’s “just” take a look at the Signs Of Depression for both men and women. And why should ignore them.
Ladies first. Women tend to report overwhelming feelings of sadness, worthlessness and guilt. Men, in contrast, are more likely to suffer from fatigue, loss of interest, and irritability. They become frustrated and sometimes even abusive. It’s likely there is a connection with they way men handle depression. In contrast to women, they are more likely to turn to alcohol and drugs.
However (and this is important!) if you have to deal with a person who may of may not be facing depression, don’t let this Mars/Venus thing fool you. Both men and women can experience any of the known signs of depression. Regardless of their sex.
