The Leading Causes of Hot Flashes

Fruits and Vegetables

Rich in vitamins and minerals, dietary fiber and phytochemicals, fruits and vegetables offer a vast array of health benefits. The World Cancer Research Fund estimates that a diet rich in a variety of fruits and vegetables could prevent 20 percent of all cancers, and that a diet low in these nutrients could well be one of the main causes of hot flashes.

You should aim to eat 2 to 4 servings of vegetables a day. Frozen, canned and dried fruits and vegetables as well as fruit and vegetable juices all count. However, no single fruit or vegetable can provide all the vitamins or phytochemicals that contribute to staying healthy, so it’s important to eat a variety to ensure you get all the ingredients you need.
