A true story

March 2nd, 2008 by admin

Our neighbors next to us told us a story over the holidays I’d like to relate to you — their family came from the old country, and when they came to this country they could not take very many material possessions with them: a few items of clothing, the family Bible, and if you jewelry items such as a bracelet and their great, great-grandmother’s wedding ring and a few photos.  Most of these items are still in the family today — they have them proudly displayed in a special curio case in their living room.  They are justly proud of those items, because they are very prosperous today, a testimony to their skill and hard work.  I wonder what their ancestors would think of them now — would they be proud of how far they have come?  I think so.
