Coming up with effective basement lighting ideas is always the challenge when refinishing a basement. Since most basements don’t have much or any natural light, you need to figure out the best lighting system you can for the type of room you want to have. If you are going to use your basement for office work or some type of workshop, you need the room to be well lit for your eyes. Working in a dark environment is not good for your eyes and will impede your work. On the other hand, if you are going to use your basement for something like a game or movie room, the lighting is a little less important.
