It was with great surprise for many people who were standing waiting for friends or had just got off the tube, they suddenly saw what looked like a UFO flying above Tooting Broadway station. It was late in the afternoon, and what looked remarkably like a UFO would, turns out in fact not to be a UFO, but a Wish Lantern. Patrick Carneagey from Wandsworth spotted the flying object, “it was really really strange, it looked genuinely like one of those unidentified flying object things, I would never, ever have guessed that it was a paper lantern floating around in the sky”
