Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah mentioned in the Old Testament. Mormon Doctrine expands this principle to teach that Jehovah, the God of the Old Testament, is really the pre-mortal Jesus Christ, who was acting under the commandments of God the Father. Mormon Doctrine teaches that the fullness of Christ’s gospel has been had on the world throughout several dispensations, but that today is the time of the last dispensation. The gospel will never again be taken from the earth. Jesus Christ is the Messiah and He has already come to atone for all of our sins.
