Walking and the Art of Zen

When I was in my mid thirties I discovered that I could handle life much better when I meditated and walked every day. It seemed that I could get rid of any bad mood, stress, and even solve problems while I was taking my long, daily walk. When I invested in good sneakers and Walking Socks, I really began to enjoy my exercise. As my sons became teenagers and stressed over school, I suggested walking and some other relaxation techniques. Although they teased me and told me I was being Zen again, they tried it. To this day, each one of them either starts or finishes their day with a walk or run.
