One of the most frustrating things about being a new computer user is fixing your own mistakes.  At least it was for me.  I used to work on projects, delete information, then realize I needed part of it.  I thought it was gone forever.  Some data would be lost to power outages or even viruses.  Whatever the reason, I started over a lot.  Eventually I realized I could install recover deleted files using software designed for that purpose.  Once I had the right tools work became a lot easier.  I still sometimes lose information, but now I just get it back and keep working.
