Registry Fix – Is It Really That Good?

June 6th, 2009 by admin

Registry Fix or Reg Fix is a registry repair program that has been out for several years now. The software has gained some popularity and it prompted me to review it myself. I tested it against some of the other registry cleaners, and here are my thoughts.

The most important aspect of a registry cleaner is its ability to detect and repair registry errors. With our test computer in place, we found it was only able to identity 34% of registry errors. This is a very poor percentage. Specifically it did not perform well in repairing Kernel and Runtime errors. These are very important registry errors to fix in order to properly maintain the integrity of a system.
