The Technology Cycle Continues With Internet TV

There is a theory, or perhaps just an observation, that technology cycles through phases of being wired and wireless. For example, all telephones were originally wired, but today wireless phones are the rule and corded phones are the exception. TVs originally were wireless, but wiring them up allowed them to receive far more programming through cable or satellite services. The technology cycle is about to come full circle for TV with the increasing popularity of applications like satellite tv for pc. When it becomes the norm for people to watch TV over Wi-Fi Internet on their laptops, TV will be wireless (and more or less free) once again.
